Change is not easy, and those that tell you so are either seasoned veterans who have it perfected through experience or are straight up lying to you. What I will tell you is that change is dynamic. It is exhilarating, scary, inspiring, difficult, unnerving, defining and rewarding, among a whole host of conflicting words. Having lived through my share of change, what I will tell you is that change is crucial in personal development. As we grow into adulthood and beyond, we evolve and it is through great periods of change that we are tested and become more of the person we are meant to be. Whether it is getting out of a dead-end relationship or jumping continents, there will be a roller coaster of emotions and challenges we will have to face. This is daunting and uncomfortable, but without these hurdles we would never strengthen our resolve and mature in a way that is more in line with where we want to be in our lives and more importantly, how we define ourselves. Sometimes we make a determined decision to foster change and sometimes it is forced upon us as though the universe would not have it any other way. Accept change and go with the flow, because what lies at the other end of the spectrum will be worth the effort in getting there.
